OUR JOURNEY BEGINS

WE STARTED ON 27 NIGHT 2016 AROUND 10PM FROM BANGALORE WE HAVE BOOKED TT AS WE WERE 10 IN NUMBERS

BUT 2 OF THEM WERE DROPPED(1 WAS UNEXPECTED)

BY MORNING 5AM WE REACHED COORG IT WAS SURROUNDED BY FOG WE STOPPED NEAR BAGAMANDALA FRESHED UP AND VISTED TEMPLE  AND HAD breakfast NEARBY HOTEL at 8 am AND THEN WE VISTED TO CHELUVARA FALLS WHICH IS NEAR BY  AROUND 12AM-2PM

THEN TREKKINGING BEGINS

Switched on the navigation and headed towards the Tadiandamol Hills, parked the vehicle at the Aramane palace school ground. There is plenty of space for parking at palace grounds, you can even take the vehicle 1.5 kms up but there is less parking space avaible but if you are going early then you will get parking space easily, if you rented the vehicle then ask driver to drop till there, come back and park here. Back packed the BEDSHEETS, fruits,CHOCLATES,BREAD JAM,ROTI, CHIPS ,CAKES,BISCUITS and water bottles. All set for the ultimate trek.

STARTED @ 3 PM

THE WAY WAS VERY VERY EASY AT STARTING

the Trek: We started trekking from the Aramane Palace ground, the total trek from here is 6 kms. After 1.5 kms the road turns into narrow road where one has to walk thereafter. There was a small sign board which read "Camping at night on the peak is not allowed", which we saw while coming back. The trail till the peak is very clear there is no chance of missing the route.

The trek has four stages,

First stage - The trail is surrounded with trees, the trek is easy.
Second stage - Trail is through open grassland, the toughest part of the trek.
Third stage - Through thick forest, some time it could be scary but its a very short path after which the open granssland continues.
Fouth stage - 10 more minutes of difficult trekking to reach the peak.
It was 3 pm by the time we started trek, we planned to reach peak before sunset so we kept a good pace. Reached the fOREST COTTAGE AROUND 5.30PM AND WE THOUGHT OF STAYING AT THE PEAK BUT AFTER 6PM THE TREK WAS BANNED . SO WE ASKED THAT COTTAGE GUY FOR HALTING HE SAID HOMESTAY IS FULL AND HE SHOWED SOME DRY LAND AND TOLD TO CAMP THERE FOR WHICH HE CHARGED 100RS PER HEAD AND 300 FOR CAMP FIRE almost we thought of settling there and our two members Niranjan and Pradeep were full exhausted and then we went to collect wood pieces for firing Some guy was returning from trek  we asked him about the stay he told Some watchmans home is there you can camp there he will provide home also for stay . Then we visited Forest Area and met Watch man
Watchmen name is Thammayya(~60 years old, very nice guy, soft speaking), you can contact him by phone # 9972483994.
and he agreed and showed the path for staying and also he started camp fire it was Around 7pm.

Chandra and Nandisha woked everyone up at 5.30 in the morning  it was freezing cold outside the tent, hands were numb and body started shivering. The place was covered with clouds and darkness.
carried Torch and started the Journey.
2 dogs started to show the way for the peak we followed them

Thick forest there is a beautiful sight seeing point from where you can have a nice view of the surrounding hills. It took 5 minutes to cross the jungle. As soon as we crossed the jungle we could see the peak, few more minutes to conquer the peak. Sun was about to Rise so we rushed, the sky had turned red.

Finally peak: We reached the peak at 8.30, took 3 hours to reach the peak.  Sun was looking more beautiful than ever. Within few minutes clouds covered the place, sun was hidden completely behind the clouds. Finally our aim to reach the peak before sunrise was accomplished.

Came Back from Peak to Camp fire Spot Around 11Am   Got freshed at nearby water source Ate Roti and bread which we had reserved for the breakfast. As there are many resorts at the base there were hundreds of people trekking, including group of boys and girs, family and children. Reached aramane grounds at 1.30 pm.
